I want an old rocking horse from a council play area?
In the 1980's, childrens play ares in public parks often included a long iron rocking horse with 5 seats that everyone would jump on and rock to and fro on. Many have now been scrapped over safety fears (I assume). I would love to have one in my garden just as a focal point. Where do I start looking? Thanks for any help.

Look at car boot sales and antique fairs. Safety issues are not a concern for the vendors and you can probably find one priced reasonably. Good luck.

ebay, scrap yards, antque stores, old-closed schools' playgrounds...
you can always go to a courthouse/elementary school principal and ask them what they did with the ones that used to be in the playgrounds... it may be long gone by now, but at least you know where to look in other towns
