I had a dream last night and I don't what it was about it but it's had me bothered. Like i've had an uneasy feeling all day. I'm not the kind of person to believe that ALL dreams mean something, like if you see a snake in your dreams then someone you love is gonna die. But this particular dream was very vivid like i could almost feel it even after i woke up. But here it is.
Well while I was walking home from school one day, I walked into this abandoned hospital that had been there since the civil war, just because I didn?t have anything else better to do I guess. I started walking through this building, looking in the rooms reading old papers I found on desks and floors, but inside this entire place this one room caught my eye. I open the door to this room and I see rays of light coming in through the window reflecting off the dust in the air. In this room was one bed that looked like it had never been used. A table with a flower, one single flower, a black rose that was NOT wilted. Covering the floor of this room were numerous toys, Ranging from a doll house to one of those old antique rocking horse type things, But the toys were not dusty, and on the bed was a teddy bear with an old beat up book sitting in it?s lap. See everything else in this hospital seemed like it was left in it?s original position and never moved, but things were covered in dust and the entire building was dark and cold. But not this room? everything within this room seemed brand new, It was all clean like it had been used only moments before my arrival. Except for the teddy bear and the book on the bed. I walk over to the bed and pick up the book, it was an old children's storybook. I start flipping through the pages and an envelope falls out onto the floor. On the envelope was my name, but this envelope was as old as the rest of this building so it couldn?t have been MY name i thought? Well like anyone else would do I opened the envelope and read it. It read as follows:
?Hey mister? do you wanna be my friend? My
parents didn?t want me? so I live here now.?
So just for the hell of it I found some paper and wrote a reply.
?Uh, sure why not. That sucks about your parents though
I wish I could help??
I put my reply in the envelope and put the envelope back in the book and i put the book back on the bed and went home. I thought about how horrible it must have been for that kid to know that your own family didn?t want you. But when I got home, I walked into my room to see an envelope on my bed with my name on it. I thought it might have been a note from my mother explaining what chores should be done before she got home so i opened it and read it:
?hey thanks mister for being my friend, I was sad
When my parents didn?t want me but I?m happy now
That I have a new friend!?
Then I woke up, I was so confused about this and I still am. I mean people say that your dreams are supposed to tell you things. So what could this possibly mean? Any ideas or suggestions?

Does physically punishing a dog really make its behavior worse? (Answers: 9) (Comments: 0)
Are there any facts stating that hitting a dog [not hard, though] when it's caught doing something inappropriate red-handed will cause its behavior to worsen and traumatize it or do dog lovers just say that because they're biased?
My mom and her boyfriend own two dogs, a Chinese crested named Chanel and a shih-tzu named Jimmy.
When I caught Chanel peeing on the rug after just having been outside for at least 20 minutes, I yelled, "No!" to scold her and did nothing more.
When I caught Jimmy chewing on the stereo's electrical cord, I once again said, "No!" loudly and gave him a very light tap on his rear end.
Not too long before that, he was caught chewing on my mother's antique rocking horse.
Her mate saw Jimmy doing this and smacked him hard enough for him to yelp.
Don't misjudge my family and make assumptions.
These two dogs are loved and well cared for but they do need some training.
I've read, over and over again, not to hit a dog when it does something wrong because it will just make things worse in the long run and cause it to either fear you or become aggressive in order to establish dominance.
Which notion is correct?
I'm not typing about beating an animal within an inch of its life; that is cruel.
I'm honestly curious.

I just believed that, by firmly smacking a dog on its snout or bum when it's caught in the act, it would learn to associate what it's doing with negative stimuli, like pain or being startled.
This, I thought, would cause the animal to stop the behavior because it doesn't like the discomfort.
Carla: Sadly, these dogs aren't puppies.
I think the shih-tzu is at least 8 months old but I could be off by a bit.
The other one is no less than two years of age.
